Comments: WOW THE YEARS HAVE GONE BY FAST. I MARRIED RICHARD WOEHRLE IN JAN. OF 1970, WE HAVE TWO CHILDREN, A DAUGHTER DANIELLE, AND A SON CHAD. WE ALSO HAVE TWO WONDERFUL GRANDCHILDREN, CAMDEN 3 AND MADISON 2. WHAT A JOY THEY ARE. RICH IS AN OWNER -OPERATOR, AND LEASES HIS TRUCK TO GRAND ISLAND CONTRACT CARRIERS, OUR SON, CHAD, ALSO OWNS HIS OWN TRUCK, AND IS LEASED TO THE SAME COMPANY. OUR DAUGHTER, DANIELLE DICKMAN IS A JUVENILE PAROLE OFFICER WITH THE STATE OF NEBRASKA, AND IS KEPT VERY BUSY. I WORK ONE OR TWO DAYS A WEEK FOR A LOCAL STOCK BROKER, OTHER THAN THAT, I ENJOY JUST BEING A GRANDMOTHER.

Comments: It sure doesn't seem like forty years have passed since I roamed the halls of dear old LHS?? I have farmed for 20 years, returned to UNL and got my Masters degree, worked for Nebraska Plastics, Inc. for 18 years as the National Customer Service Director, had two kids Amanda (27, single) and Phil (25, single), married twice, and loved every minute of it all. Look forward to about ten more years of work and then travel.

Comments: As of March 1, 2007 I am now retired due to a medical condition. Have been doing alot more quilting and scrap booking with all of my free time. Looking for a classmate to take over our reunions. Will be happy to turn over the records to everyone interested in the job. As of June 2001 I am working for the Dawson County Treasurer Office as a Real Estate Clerk. After 20 years of banking I was ready for a change. Bob and I have two daughters, and two grandsons and one granddaughter. Kim and her family live in Lincoln where she is a Special Education Teacher. Amanda and her daughter live here in Lexington and she works for the school system. Spend free time quilting and enjoy the grandchildren and attending their activities. Also ready for retirement!

Comments: I have been married to my lovely wife Janet for 34 years. I still work for Qwest Communication and have been there 36 years. I have 3 grown children Donald, Tricia, and Dusty and 8 grandchildren. I live on a small lake just outside Grand Island and enjoy fishing, boating and entertaining my grand children. I have also enjoy being involved in my church and have gone on mission trips to intercity Chicago Ill. and have also traveled with a mission team to Talanchinol, Mexico the past 2 years.

Comments: Now live in Beaver City, NE. My parents lived in Beaver City when I was born in McCook, NE (65 miles west of Beaver City) some 62 years ago. I was 9 months old when my family moved to Lexington. I guess, in a sense, I've come home. I've found through my little sister, Moiya, the family genealogist, that we are related to a very good sized chunk of Furnas County. I'd write a book, but I think Alex Haley has already done that with ROOTS. My husband Larry, has retired, after the majority of his adult life being in Omaha, as was mine. Biggest difference between Beaver City and Omaha is where the closest Walmart is. We drive the same distances between towns as we did in Omaha. Landscape is lots prettier.

They finally did just what they threatened me with for the last 5 years. Not only have I been down-sized, I've had my whole job eliminated. That is until someone younger and less expensive comes along. After giving them 21 years, they can be sooo crass. They don't know the favor they did me. My husband works for the same employer, (that's where I met him) and he is still employed. He will be 62 in July this year and would like to retire, but for money, and health insurance it does not appear to be doable. Would like to retire in TX near his sister, and other relatives. It would be around the Ft Worth area. I have heard that classmate Steve McGee is in Ft Worth. If I remember right I am either one or two days older than he is. Isn't it funny what trivia we remember? Plan to be at reunion in June. Hope to see many of the class.

Comments: An update on family status. After 29 years, on March 28th 2010, I legally married Lawrence Butler in The District of Columbia. We're still in Maryland by the Bay but Hawaii is getting closer (continental drift?).

Comments: There has been alot happening since the last time I put anything on this website. I am still Teaching at the same school, and as of this year I am tenured so it looks like I will be here for awhile. One thing that has happened is they made me the head golf coach at the school, and guess what, we won the State Championship for two years in a row and we are going for number three. If you talk to anyone who has played golf with me, they can tell you that the kids won the title in spite of me coaching them. My daughter is still living with me and helps to keep me in line, at least she tries. Since we moved down to Kansas, she has not worked but keeps plenty busy with hobbies and gardening.
I look forward to seeing everyone at our 40th Reunion in June. It sure doesn't seem like it has been that long. I like to hear from all my classmates, so feel free to email me at anytime. My school email address is: rstump @ usd328.org

Comments: We, Tom and Camilla, recently celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. Tom retired in December of 2006 from 31 years at UPS--27 years of Safe Driving. Tom "recommends" retirement!! He enjoys spending time with our only grandchild, Cole, who is 2 years old. We have one daughter, Cami, who is an architect, married and the mother of our little Cole. We have one son, Quentin, a graphic artist and still single. Tom enjoys gardening and landscaping, bird hunting with our German Shorthaired girls "Mikka" and "Kai", following Nebraska FOOTBALL and other sports, and singing gospel, patriotic, and 50 & 60's music. He especially enjoys participating in our town festivals and serving on the Hospice Board. He was inducted into the Albia Hall of Fame in August of 2007.
