Memorials for the Class of 1996

Erika Beatriz Ambriz, 29, of Lexington, Nebraska, entered Heaven on Monday, February 18, 2008, at her home in Lexington. 
     She was born September 23, 1978, at Guadalajara, Mexico, to Raul Ambriz and Maria Trujillo.
     Erika moved with her family to the United States as a young girl, moving to Lexington, where she was a graduate of Lexington High School with the class of 1996, where she was a member of the Flag Corps. She then went to college at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. At the time of her death she was working at Plum Creek Medical Group in Lexington.
     Erika was a wonderful mother and enjoyed spending time with her children; Isaac and Marianna. She enjoyed baking cakes, doing crafts, spending time with her family, listening to Banda music, and always had a smile on her face and was pleasant to all the patients at the medical clinic. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Erika will be so very missed by all who knew her and loved her.
     Survivors include her children: Isaac Raymond and Marianna Elizabeth both at home. Her parents: Raul and Maria Ambriz of Lexington, Nebraska. Three brothers: Raul, Jr. and wife Imelda Ambriz of Lexington, Nebraska, Jorge Ambriz of Omaha, Nebraska, Mike Ambriz of Lexington, Nebraska. Three sisters: Blanca and husband Juan Jimenez of Lexington, Nebraska, Maria Ambriz of Lexington, Nebraska, Carolina and husband Javier Pena of Bell Gardens, California. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. Erika was preceded in death by her grandparents.
     Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 22, 2008, at 4:30 p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Paul Colling, officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 21, 2008, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with Rosary and Wake Service at 6:00 p.m. all at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Memorials are kindly suggested to the Ambriz Family.
     It was the wishes of the family for Erika's body to be cremated following the funeral service with her ashes inurned in Guadalajara, Mexico at a later date. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements. - information and photo from Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Web Site.
