Memorials of the Class of 1986

Michael Nelson, a.k.a. Stone Michael Moses Mountain, 41, of Cincinnati, Ohio, died Friday, April 10, 2009, at his home in Cincinnati.
     Michael's body was cremated. There will be no visitation. 
     A memorial graveside service will be held Friday, April 17, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. at the Elwood Cemetery in Elwood with the Rev. Connie Karr officiating.
     Survivors include one son, Markeith Hodgson of Elwood; eight brothers and sisters including Allan Wylie of Elwood, Mark (Samantha) Nelson of Branson, Mo., Teresa and Jeff Volcheck of West Des Moines, Iowa and one niece and one nephew. Michael was preceded in death by his parents
     He was born Feb. 3, 1968, at Omaha. His parents were Albert and Elizabeth (Ford) Nelson. Michael grew up at Elwood until the fifth grade and then moved to Lexington where he graduated in 1986. Following graduation, he moved to Holdrege for a time where he worked construction. He had lived in different cities throughout his life, but lived for the past 12 years in Cincinnati. At the time of his death he was a deliveryman for Speedway Bakery. Michael loved martial arts and earned many trophies through his art. He loved keeping in touch with his family and will be so very missed.
     Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
