Robert "Butch" Van Cleave, 54, of Heartwell, died on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings. Memorial services were Friday, March 21 at the Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden, with James Albers officiating.
Butch was born on March 30, 1953, at Lexington, to Raymond H. and Agnes (O'Meara) Van Cleave. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1971. Butch had worked for McAlevy Construction and other construction companies in Kearney for many years. He also worked for Miller the Driller in Minden, Kully Pipe and Steel in Hastings and was presently employed for A-1 Fiberglass in Hastings.
Survivors include his friend and companion, Linda Ceballos of Heartwell; Linda's children, Toni, Bodie and Ruth; her grandson, Jaydn; one son, Scott Van Cleave; three brothers, Raymond Van Cleave of Warren Ohio, James Van Cleave of Blair and Dennis Van Cleave of Warren, Ohio; two sisters, Alice Vollmer of Kearney and Mary Ann Bliven of Kansas City, Kan.; one granddaughter; four nephews and three nieces. A memorial has been established in his name.

Linda L. (Reynolds) Snider
(January 8, 1953 - September 23, 2007)
Linda L. Snider, 54, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Sunday, September 23, 2007, at Tri-County Hospital in Lexington. She was born January 8, 1953, at Lexington, Nebraska, to Norman and Shirley (Gummere) Reynolds. Linda grew up south of Lexington where she attended District #31 country school until the 6th grade. She then graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1971. Following graduation, she went to college at Kearney State College and Hastings College, earning her Licensed Practical Nursing degree. She worked for a time as an LPN at Westside Care Home and then went to work for Reynolds, Inc. as Bookkeeper/Secretary. She was still doing the books at the time of her death.
Linda was united in marriage to John Snider on January 20, 1978, at Lexington, Nebraska. The couple were blessed by adopting two children; Regina and Larry and lost a baby in infancy, John David. John was also blessed with a daughter, Stacey, from his first marriage.
She was always active in the community; where there were horses or kids, there was Linda. She was initiated in to the P.E.O. Sisterhood in 1973, she held P.E.O. very near and dear to her heart and held all the offices several times. Linda was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the Platte Valley Quarter Horse Association, the Farm Bureau, where she served as president; the Dawson County Extension Board, a leader for many years with the Boots-n-Spurs 4-H Club, the Pork Chop Club, the Nebraska Simmental Association, the Optimist Club, Teammates, Job's Daughters and the First United Methodist Church.
Linda's hobbies included; scrapbooking, rubber stamping, crossword puzzles, horses, watching sporting activities, reading, and spending time with family.
Survivors include husband: John Snider of Lexington, Nebraska. Son: Larry (Lisa) Snider of Smithfield, Nebraska, Daughters: Regina (Craig) Howard of Lexington, Nebraska Stacey (Brian) Snider-Simon of Tucson, Arizona. Mother: Shirley Reynolds of Lexington, Nebraska Mother-in-Law: Jane Snider of Lexington, Nebraska. Brothers: Larry (Jeanne) Reynolds of Lexington, Nebraska Rod (Susan) Reynolds of Lexington, Nebraska. Ten grandchildren: Eric, Detrick, Derrick, Andy, Whitney, John, Liam, Leyton, Ivan and Tovar and one on the way. Nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Norman; son, John David and father-in-law, Floyd Snider.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Lexington with Reverend Todd Karges, officiating. P.E.O. Rites will be conducted by Chapter GR of Lexington. Burial will be in the Robb Cemetery at Lexington, Nebraska. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2007, from 4-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Lexington Fire Department, Teammates or the Donor's Choice.

Mark Brock
Mark Kenneth Brock, 52, of Lexington, died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha following a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 5, at First United Methodist Church in Lexington with Rev. Todd Karges officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, June 4, at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, which is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Marlene M. Brock of Lexington; a brother, Craig A. (Bonnie L.) Brock of Bertrand; a sister-in-law, Linda G. Brock of Lexington; stepchildren, Robert (Tracy) McShan of Yankton, S.D., and Barbara McShan Hall of Lexington; a foster daughter, Charlee (Harris) Hagan of Kearney; most special friend, Colleen Jameson of Holdrege, and her children, Staci Dietz of Atlanta, and Alyssa Adams of Lexington; along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren as well as a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray A., Sr.; brothers, Ray A. Jr. and Terry G. and his wife, Bonnie J.
Mark was born Aug. 2, 1953, at Lexington Community Hospital to Ray A. and Marlene M. (Shattuck) Brock. He attended the Lexington Public Schools and was graduated in May of 1971. Mark was active in Boy Scouts and also in the Order of DeMolay and received their highest honor of Representative DeMolay. He graduated from Grand Island School of Business in May, 1972, with an Associate of Science Degree in accounting and business management. He entered the United States Army on June 6, 1973, and was honorably discharged as a Specialist 4th Class on June 3, 1976.
Mark was very proud to have worked until his death at Orthman Manufacturing, for 17 years, in Lexington. Since business college he has earned many more credit hours and certifications that applied toward his work that he so loved.
His community life included being a blood donor for the Red Cross, Past Worthy President of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, member of the American Legion, a Gopher Smoker, member of the First United Methodist Church, and a member of the Plum Creek Posse.
Memorials are suggested to the Lied Transplant Center at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Michael 'Mike' Ramsey
Michael L. (Mike) Ramsey, 53, of Lincoln, died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at OUR HOME in Lincoln. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, at OUR HOME in Lincoln, and at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 14, at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with private family inurnment. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sisters, Barb (Kevin) Bloemker of Fremont, and Pat (Jim) Longly of Lexington; nieces and nephews, Trish (JC) Sowers of Robertsville, Mo., Brad (Kathy) Bloemker of Warrensburg, Mo., Beth (Doug) Nolte of Andover, Kan., Ted (Karin) Bloemker of Fremont, Sami (Jim) Ady of North Platte, Chris Longly of Lincoln; and 10 great-nieces and nephews.
His parents, Lloyd L. and Margaret Koch Ramsey, preceded him in death.
Mike was born Dec.30, 1952, at Lexington, to Lloyd and Margaret (Koch) Ramsey.
He attended Lexington Public Schools, graduating in 1971. He enjoyed his art, music, motorcycles and wrestling in high school. For many years he worked in the Lexington area as a welder, then he moved to Broken Bow and worked for his brother-in-law at Palmer Monument Company. In recent years he resided at OUR HOME in Lincoln.
