Ron Sellers, 64, of Aurora, Colorado, formally of Lexington, NE passed away unexpectedly, March 2, 2011. Ron was born November 22, 1947 in Lexington, NE to Marion and Dorothy Sellers.
     He graduated from Lexington High School in 1965. After high school Ron served four years in the Navy serving on the USS Repose in Vietnam as a hospital corpsman. Ron continued his education at Lincoln General School of Nursing and upon graduation worked in the emergency rooms of several hospitals, before taking a job with Qwest where he was the director for employee health case management until his retirement.
     Ron volunteered much of his time and talents to St Andrews Episcopal Church in Denver, CO, and also served many years as a member of the board of directors for Bethany House in Denver, CO.
     His smile, kindness and quirky sense of humor will be missed by those that knew and loved him. Ron was preceded in death by Bob Davis, his partner of 40 years, his mother and father, his sister, Sharon and grandparents. Ron is survived by his sister, Anita (David) Kucera, Central City, NE and nephew, John (Tara) Kucera and great-niece Shaylin, of Central City NE.
     It was Ron's wish was to be cremated and his inurnment was in Saint Andrews Episcopal Church Columbarium in Denver, CO.

John Koehn, 67, of Pueblo, Colo., formerly of Lexington, died Jan 18, 2014. He was born Nov. 3, 1946 and graduated from Lexington High School in 1965. After high school he served two years with the military in Vietnam.
   A Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014 at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel, Pueblo, Colo.
   He was preceded in death by his father, Milo Koehn, infant twin brothers, Bobby and Billy, grandparents, Bill and Effie Koehn and Ray and Lora Dillman; step-father, Paul Nielsen; father-in-law, Hez H. Salsbury.
   He is survived by his wife, Sandy; children, Chris (Carol) Chalk, Michael (Elizabeth) Koehn, Mark (Rachel) Koehn, and Misty (Gregg) Martinez; grandchildren, Maya, John, Makayla, Sophia, Michael, Zoe, and Anthony; mother, Aeota (Doll) Nielsen; siblings, Frank (Vickey) Koehn, Connie (David) Jewett, Kandy (Richard) Anderson, and Susan (Joe) Kreski; mother-in-law, Pat Salsbury; brother-in-law, Hez A. Salsbury; numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends.
   Roselawn Cemetery and Funeral Home, Pueblo, Colo., is in charge of arrangements.

Darold D. Hibbs, age 66, of Lincoln, Nebraska, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013,at his home in Lincoln following a battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease.
     He was born on February 2, 1947, to Oren Dean and Helen Louise (Binning) Hibbs, in Lexington, Nebraska. He was a 1965 graduate of Lexington High School.
     Darold served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969 as a gunner in a heavy artillery battery. He also served in the Army Reserve as a chaplain's assistant while attending and eventually graduating from Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio. He married Eunice Schutz on November 18, 1989, in Kearney, Nebraska.
     When younger, Darold worked at a variety of jobs to include carpentry work at Back to the Bible and at Child Evangelism Fellowship headquarters in Switzerland. He volunteered for Campus Crusade for Christ and the Waikiki Beach Chaplaincy in Hawaii.
     Darold enjoyed restoring antique cars, hot rod shows and plein air painting. After employment as a graphic artist at Morris Press in Kearney, Nebraska, he moved with his new bride to Lincoln working in the maintenance department of Gold's Galleria for almost 20 years.
     Survivors include his wife, Eunice Hibbs of Lincoln; their daughter Phoebe Noel Hibbs of Lincoln who was adopted from Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, China; sister, Nancy Filkin and husband Robert of Columbus, Nebraska; brother Dwayne Hibbs and wife Jill of Kearney, Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Preceding him in death were his parents.
Funeral Services will be Monday, October 21, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Berean Bible Church in Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Glenn Johnson officiating.
     Burial with Military Honors will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 20, 2013, from 2-4 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to the ALS Association.

Gerald W. 'Butch' Atterberry, age 62 of Elwood, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, May 15th, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington, with Father Paul Colling officiating. Interment will be at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Post #290 of Elwood. Viewing and visitation will be from 10:00am - 4:00pm, Friday, May 14th, at Elwood Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 7:00pm, Friday, at St. Ann's Catholic Church.      Gerald was born on July 6, 1947, at Lexington, Nebraska to Allie & Betty J. (Snider) Atterberry. He attended school at Lexington High School and graduated with the Class of 1965. He went on to McCook Junior College, McCook, Nebraska and received his Associates Degree. He was drafted into the U.S. Marines and served from 1969 to 1971 in Vietnam. After his discharge from service, he went back to school at Kearney State College and graduated in 1975 with his business degree. He worked for Banks Clothing, at Lexington, Nebraska in retail sales for many years. He married Maria M. Bliven on October 21, 1977 at Pierre, South Dakota. They made their home in Lexington, Nebraska until 1998. They would then move to Elwood, Nebraska. In 2003, he went to work for Walmart, in Lexington. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, in Lexington, Nebraska. He was a member and former Commander for the American Legion Post #290 of Elwood, Nebraska He is preceded in death by parents, and sister Judy Brummett. Survivors include his wife, Maria Atterberry of Elwood; daughters, Danielle (Benjamin) Clouse of Maxwell, Alison Atterberry of Kearney, Nicole Atterberry of Elwood, Megan (Wayco) Oaklund of Bertrand; 5 Grandchildren, Cala and Kianna Clouse, Brielle and Alyssa Schutz, Carina Atterberry.

Paul A. Matson, 62, of Johnson Lake, Nebraska, died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.
     He was born November 13, 1946, at Lexington, Nebraska to Theodore and Edith (Margritz) Matson. Paul was a 1965 Lexington High School graduate. He then went on to further his education at Wesleyan University, graduating in 1970, he then attained his M.B.A. at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
     Paul was united in marriage to Lynn Schmitt on April 10, 1971, at Madison, Nebraska. The couple lived for a time in Omaha and St. Paul, Nebraska. They moved to Lexington in 1977. Paul was self-employed his entire life in the Financial Investment business.
     He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Rotary International, Thistle Masonic Lodge and Tehama Shrine. He was a true outdoorsman.
     Survivors include his wife: Lynn Matson of Johnson Lake, Nebraska, Son: Aaron Matson and special friend (Allison Daley) of Omaha, Nebraska, Daughter: Melissa Matson and husband (Dan Lindberg) of Boston, Massachusetts, Father: Pastor John (Glenna) Craig of Lexington, Nebraska, two brothers: John Clark (E.J.) Craig of Denver, Colorado Paul Craig of Anchorage, Alaska, Three sisters: Pauline Peterson of San Antonio, Texas Heather (Craig) Oldsen of Ponca, Nebraska J. Ann Craig (Marisa Villareal) of New York City,
two stepbrothers: Richard Zern of Overton, Nebraska Mike (Tracy) Zern of Overton, Nebraska, Sister-in-law: Pat (Richard) Mueting of Kearney, Nebraska, Several nieces and nephews.
     Paul was preceded in death by his parents Ted Matson & Edith Craig; aunts & uncles. It was Paul's wishes his body be cremated and there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington with Reverends Todd Karges, John Craig and Chuck Olsen officiating.
     Inurnment will be in the First United Methodist Church Columbarium next to the church.
     Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Foundation, Lexington Community Foundation Johnson Lake Hike/Bike Trail, Chapel of the Lake at Johnson Lake, Rotary International or Johnson Lake EMS.
